Since I'm the new girl at work this week, I would like to share my thoughts on being new.

Being new feels like a ballet dancer rehearsing solo.

Being new looks like the other side of the apple.

Being new is the other pair of the sock.

Being new feels just like the moon feels when the stars are not around.

Brainstorming flickr mosaic..

One year ago I rediscovered my creativity and started a new journey which I'm now all passionate about. I discovered the ability to combine type, color, patterns, pictures and illustration to create unique things. I'm currently studying Graphic design, and I do freelance work mainly for family and friends. When people love your work, they want to see more of what you can do. Therefore I'm excited to open my own shop where I can show more of my designs. Even though I'm still in the learning process I think this is an great opportunity for me to learn more and find my own style. With that said, I'm in desperate need of a name for my shop. 

Here is my flickr faves mosaic with pictures that symbolize my brainstorming for a name for my design studio.

I am all this and more...

I'm totally in love with this weeks flicr fav because Mitsy asked us to do a self portrait. I always enjoy doing things that help me reflect on myself since I'm always busy with other stuff. I had a hard time narrowing my mosaic to these 13 pics, there is still so much left to say about me.  

Well in order for you to go round with me in this mosaic I thought I first share with you that I'm an Island girl, born and raised in Curacao. Curacao is a little Island not far from the coast of Venezuela.

- 1 shows you colorful houses situated in the capital, Willemstad. I believe that the fact that I'm from the caribbean makes me think and feel different about color freedom and people. 

- 2 lots of fantasy in my mind.

- 3 one fact about me I don't like. I have different mood swings all the time. I'm a libra so I'm always searching for balance what makes it difficult for me to suppress my feelings and feel happy or sad in the right order. If it makes sense to you.

- 4 I'm also a mess. Yes. If things get out of control I tend to explode and not handle things with calm, yes, that's me.

- 5 But beside all my exploding, I'm a very sweet girl. That is figuratively and literally speaking. 

- 6 I observe. Allot. 

- 7 I always carry hope.

- 8 I love unconditionally.

- 9 I cry. Allot. I'm a crier. 

- 10 I'm a girly girl.

- 11 I always enjoy the little things in life. I believe that the little things bring you to the bigger stuff. 

- 12 Dreamer. By day and night.

- 13 Family is the most important thing. I'm always taking care of them.

Yellow and Grey inspires...

A year ago I wouldn't have chosen these  two colors as inspiring. Yellow is not my favorite color and grey is more like a neutral to me. But now that I have a different aproach to color and design I'm totally smitten at how much energy these 2 colors generate together.

Add more '' Ing ''..

 

Hello lovelies..! I have been really busy making the best of my creativity so that I can make my dreams come true. I love designing and creating things but every creative soul knows that it's not an easy pad to take and I've been dealing with allot of ups and downs. Something that has helped me allot these past weeks are the online lectures of Gabrielle Bernstein. Gabrielle is the author of the book add more ~ing to your life - a hip guide to happiness. Gabrielle lectures teach so much about believing in yourself and what I think is the most important, receiving the good in your life. You can read all about Gabrielle and her book here on addmoreing.com. I can't give like a review about the book yet because I just placed an order on it today. ( Yaaay ) But I've been listening to the online lectures on itunes and she is truly amazing. I love everything that can make life better and Gabrielle is making a change for sure. I will tell you more about the book when I'm reading it.
